A practice-based ENT clinic

A business plan created by the Central Sheffield GP Consortium to introduce Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) clinics into the community has been approved by Sheffield Primary Care Trust.

The clinics will be run by highly skilled ENT nurses in either your local GP surgery or a community clinic.

ENT problems range from waxy ears to tonsillitis, and usually patients would have to travel to a hospital for treatment – but the new clinics will change this.

Once established, patients suffering from ear, nose and throat problems will be able to be seen at either their own GP surgery or a special clinic in their community, meaning they can get treatment quicker and closer to home.
