What We Do
Each of the 28 practices in the GP Consortium work together to give our patients equal access to the best possible health care services.
We are committed to meeting health inequalities and directing services and funding towards areas of deprivation and under provision.
We have specialists in particular health care areas such as orthopaedics and back pain, mental health care, chronic diseases and diabetic care who are looking at the way these services are provided at the moment and how they be improved.
We value our patients’ views and work closely with them, using feedback from patient surveys to help shape the way services are designed and delivered.
We also work closely with hospital and primary care trusts to look at how things like referring patients to hospital and prescribing can be improved.
We also ensure that changes to services deliver value for money. Savings made go straight back into helping the Consortium pay for research, equipment and staff to for the benefit of our patients.
